I was born in Poland and have lived half my life here, in Toronto. Both countries have influenced and shaped my art, for better or worse. But, mostly it has been introverted meditation and silence that gave birth to the images in my paintings, telling a story of my inner worlds. As Francis bacon said, “The purpose of art is to expose mystery.” I paint women, with their whole gamut of expression and emotion. I can say everything about politics, society and the supernatural through painting just them. I am not big on artspeak so will spare you here.
